Mr. Micah Price is Lead Peer Recovery Specialist in Empowered Communities and Mason and Partners Opioid MAT Project. Price’s project involvement includes supporting individuals in recovery from opioid addiction and suffering from mental struggles. This support is conducted with patients of the local community’s MAT clinic as well as those incarcerated at the local jail so to prepare them for re-entry into the community. He works closely with providers and support staff in the daily activities in and out of the clinic. His lived experience has provided him with valuable content that patients easily relate to and instills motivation in their in their own recovery path. Before coming to Mason, Price has experience working in government contracting within the IT field as a business development manager and made his way to the addiction counseling after discovering the value that helping others has brought to his own life.
